I have had chronic fatigue for the last 20 years and fibro stuff for 14 years or so.
I have a terrible profile for both...as what I chose to do in my life lead me to get sicker and sicker.
I developed an anxiety disorder...and couldn't even put money in a parking metre in my home town...without heart palps...sweating...and a fight or flight response.
As you can realize there are MANY contributing pieces to this syndrome puzzle.
I went to Atlanta in Dec. Of course my adrenals were burnt crispy, my hormones (I am 49) out to lunch, my b12 in the toilet..trigger points...firing off migraines...it just goes on and on...the bloodwork they do at the centres is comprehensive...oh not to mention the candida gig...blech!
It doesn't matter what the individual case it (my engineer friend-my hubby is a Fuels and Materials Engineer, and has a masters in Electrical...and is a General in the Canadian armed forces) ((you can imagine his dismay when I told him that I found a fibro place on google next to my email to a friend on gmail...and that I wanted to go there...hahahahaha....he was more than skeptical...especially after 20 years of hell doctors hit and misses as far as my condition went))
The protocol works, the SHIN works (with help from special targeted drugs from the compounding lab that are specific to the individual)
I am weigh 165 and am only 5'1" the heaviest I have been in my life...but I am getting well...fast...I have energy at 100% some days for hours...I am getting 8 hours of restorative sleep....the fog is gone sometimes...I have a shower EVERY day now....I don't fall asleep for 4 hours a day...
I can articulate what I would like to convey to people...without mixing up all the words...
I am reprogramming myself, and grieving to last 20 years of hopelessness and hell... (and this is painful and yucky in itself), but it seems to go with the territory...
I would have to admit the *numbers* for the SHIN protocol are just not there or in a place we can access them...There have to be numbers for the scientists and the skeptics...something...I hope to work on....
